This post is the first of a three part about one of our recent basement finishing projects and focuses on the family room.
Let’s start with the result:
This basement was originally used for storage only. It was cluttered and dark. Here, our client wanted to create a comfortable space which they and their guests could use as a family room. Among other things, we redid the ceiling and added lighting, redid the fireplace and added a wood mantle and added window shutters, new paint and carpet. Ours clients were thrilled with how it turned out!
